Update on CARES (Federal Stimulus) Act

EIDL

The SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) has been available since the disaster was declared in California. If you have completed an application, it is still in process and there is nothing else you need to do. If you have not, the new application has been simplified. The webinars above will show the new process. In addition, this is the process to request your $10,000 advance on your EIDL assistance.

PPP

The Paycheck Protection Plan (PPP) is a new program with the act. The application process is being developed and will come out in first part of April. The on-demand webinar provides some basic information on this loan.

All of us at the San Diego & Imperial SBDC Network know this public health crisis is hitting you, the small business owner, very hard. Know we are here to help. We are still providing all our services, just online. You can still visit www.SDIVSBDC.org and click "request counseling" to get assistance. We are here to help you apply for capital and work through the ways you now have to pivot to get through this time where we all have to be physically distant from one another.

Make sure you watch out for scams and predatory lending. During times of crisis, it is hard to take the time to verify what are real and legitimate options. That is why we are here to help you - as always, our business counseling is free to you.

A message from Johnny Caito with OB Eats

FREE Program for Restaurants

See his message below...

Along with running OB Eats, I also have a restaurant marketing company. I've put together a FREE curbside pickup program for local restaurants. We will run ads, deliver special offers, and promote pickup and delivery options. The only thing the restaurant would pay is the ad spend (can do as low as $5/day).

Again...this is FREE! I'd like to help out as many places as I can. I live here, work here, and love OB, and I'll do whatever I can to help.

If you know someone that owns, manages, or is in the restaurant space here in OB, PL, or surrounding areas, will you please share this link with them or have them reach out.

They can email me at [email protected]
