OB Farmers Market

Wednesday, June 14, 2023 - 4:00pm

Every Wednesday 4-8 pm on the 4900 block of Newport Ave. between Cable and Bacon Streets in Ocean Beach. The Ocean Beach Farmers Market will look a bit different. Think of it as a fresh-air grocery store with a focus on fresh fruits, vegetables, spreads, baked goods, honey, kombucha, flowers, and more! There will be a handful of artisan food vendors who will provide to-go food, which you may take home to enjoy.

Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off Festival offers attendees eclectic fun in the sun for all ages. Tens of thousands visitors will attend the Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off from 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023, for tasty festival nosh, art, beachfront entertainment, shopping, and more.

OB Town Council Events

The events they sponsor throughout the year are all fundraisers for the OB Tree Committee. The OB Tree Committee sponsors the OB Food and Toy Drive that sponsors over 100 local families and seniors in need each year during the holiday season. The group assembles care packages and new gifts and toys for those in need of help during the holidays.

Let's Party! From the producers of OB Oktoberfest, comes St. Paddy’s O’Beach Party for two days of festivities on Fri, March 15 & Sat, and March 16, 2024, from 1 PM - 11 PM. Join us where Newport meets the beach for a St. Paddy’s Day celebration with a true San Diego twist! In the 21+ beer garden, they'll be serving up live music from local and national acts, green beer, cocktails, and plenty of St. Paddy’s shenanigans including; a "Guac Off" guacamole tasting, Beach 5K Fun Run, pot o' gold hold, lucky charm flip cup, leprechaun limbo, and more.

OB Kite Festival

Saturday, May 18, 2024 - 10:00am to 3:00pm

Join the Kiwanis for the Annual OB Kite Festival at Robb Field - on May 20, 2023, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Prizes for best-decorated kites, by age category. Spectacular kite flying demonstrations throughout the day. Carnival rides and a craft fair are also part of the event. This free family event is the oldest children’s kite festival in the United States, now celebrating its 7th decade. This is a third-generation event; people who attended as children are now bringing their children and grandchildren. Youngsters are taught how to make kites; all materials are supplied. There are prizes for the best-decorated kites. Any handmade kite can be submitted, not just kites made at the Festival. Entertainment and lunch are provided. Adding to the fun, families can go on carnival rides or browse for unique handicrafts at the craft fair.
