The Santa Monica Avenue Beach is located right on the line between the surfer-only area and the swimming only area of this stretch of beach. This is a popular beach among visitors because of the ammenities that it has to offer.

While there is a parking lot available for beachgoers it is often full and parking can be somewhat problematic. This beach is particularly popular amongst photographers’ as there is a wide variety of objects to shoot. This beach also offers the only surfer’s only area around. Hundreds of surfers flock to this beach on a daily basis at their chance to catch the next “big one”.

Just a half block from Newport avenue and three blocks away from the OB Pier this paid parking lot is large and offers plenty of spaces.

Set back along Sunset Cliffs and just half a block from Newport Avenue. Around the corner is Culture Brewery Co. Take a walk down Newport Ave. you never know what you'll find. It's about four blocks to the beach from this lot.

CVS - Paid Parking

One block over from Newport Avenue on Santa Monica Ave. is CVS which has a large paid parking lot. The beach is just two blocks away. Great place to park on Farmer's Market Wednesdays.

If you've arrived like most you came into town along Sunset Cliffs Blivd. which intersects with Newport Avenue the heart of Ocean Beach's business district. The beach is four blocks down from this parking lot.
