OB Entryway Cleanup Sunday - May 18

Ocean Beach News Article: OB Entryway Cleanup Sunday - May 18

Ocean Beach Entryway Spring Cleanup

Summer's approaching, and our beautiful Ocean Beach entryway needs your help to shine again! After three years of dedicated volunteer work that brought 6,000+ locally donated plants to the Sunset Cliffs Boulevard entrance by Robb Field, it's time for our community to come together for a spring refresh.

We have all the tools ready—we just need your helping hands! Even an hour of your time makes a difference. Do you have extra drought-resistant plants? Bring your garden-ready cacti and succulents to contribute to our coastal landscape.

Join your neighbors at the OB entryway this Sunday and help make our community's front door something we can all be proud of. As a special thank you, our friends at The Harp are hosting an after-party BBQ for all volunteers!

A Bit of History

Lighthouse Ice Cream has a rich history starting from its inception in 1997 by Dick and Carol Ladiges, who brought their passion for ice cream back to Ocean Beach. Their story, marked by a previous Big Olaf franchise and an adventurous bike tour across Europe, adds a layer of nostalgia and character to the shop. Despite facing challenges like a temporary closure due to a fire in 2023, as OB Rag reported, Carol Ladiges's resilience keeps the legacy alive, making it a testament to community and love for ice cream.

Plan Your Visit

Stop by Lighthouse Ice Cream for a scoop of happiness, whether you're a local or just passing through. With its diverse menu, welcoming atmosphere, and a piece of local history, it's more than just an ice cream shop; it's a part of Ocean Beach's cultural fabric.

Robert Burns has been practicing law for nearly 45 years

Ocean Beach News Article: Robert Burns has been practicing law for nearly 45 years

Ocean Beach lawyer Robert Burns has been practicing law for nearly 45 years with an emphasis on family law, personal injury law, and probate court litigation.  His website is www.OBLaw.com.

Mr. Burns regularly posts answers to legal questions posted with www.Avvo.com. You can subscribe free of charge to his select ones by friending him at Facebook.com/OBLaw.  Please “Like” his Facebook fans page at https://www.facebook.com/Robert-Burns-121384342541/

You will also find there pertinent news and commentary on local, State, and Federal legal issues including regular posts on other newsworthy legal issues; feel free to suggest a topic for his discussion.   Mr. Burns just settled for $52,500 a motorcycle personal-injury case botched by an L.A. affiliate of Law Tigers Motorcycle Lawyers who tried to back out with only $13,000 offered by the insurer.

Mr. Burn would like another nice probate case or a private attorney general case against Tesla for endemically placing its automobiles on California highways without front license plates and with illegally tinted windows.   Happy New Year!
