Environmental Health Update

Dear Permittees, The County of San Diego Public Health Officer announced on November 10, 2020, that the County’s adjusted case rate rose above 7.0 cases per 100,000 for a second week, keeping the region in the state’s most restrictive COVID-19 level, Purple Tier, or Tier 1. Effective Midnight, Friday, November 13, 2020, under Tier 1, restaurants, gyms, churches, theaters, and other locations are to discontinue indoor operations. As a result, indoor dining is prohibited. Outdoor dining, drive-thru, take out and to-go service operations are allowed and can continue operating.

During these challenging times we are unable to provide the additional funding needed to enhance our programs. We look to you, our incredible community, and ask for your help in enhancing our Clean & Safe Program by becoming a Friend of OB.

Extended - Permit Renewal Fee Deferment and Food Facility Plan Check Fee Waivers - County of SD

Dear FHD Operators and Stakeholders, On October 27, 2020, the County Board of Supervisors approved to continue to defer permit fees due dates through March 31, 2021 and Plan Check fee waivers for the initial submittal of new construction and remodeled food facility projects until the appropriated funds have been expended.

1% COVID-19 Relief Loan

A Message from The County of San Diego Accion is excited to announce that the San Diego County Board of Supervisors has approved for us to open our 1% COVID-19 relief loan product to businesses in the entire county. Eligible businesses located throughout the county can apply for the 1% COVID-19 relief loan, starting today! The eligibility criteria is the same as before and we have simplified the overall application process so there is no longer an invitation process to apply.
