The requirements necessary to run are: Must be an OBMA member in good standing. Must have served on one of OBMA's committees for at least one year. Will have time to devote to monthly board meetings, committees and special events. Please review the Board Member Roles & Responsibilities sheet. We are all saddened to announce the passing of Dave Martin, long time business owner in Ocean Beach and member of the OB MainStreet Association Board of Directors since 2007. Dave will be greatly missed. He was a thoughtful and outspoken volunteer for our organization and also for so many other local organizations. His generosity of time, expertise, and energy was legendary.  He was almost always the calmest person in the room which is a great asset on a Board of Directors.

GRANT MONEY AVAILABLE FOR BUSINESSES TO BUILD ADA COMPLIANT DECKS AND PLATFORMS UNDER OUTDOOR BUSINESS OPERATION GUIDELINES SAN DIEGO – In an effort to improve accessibility and support businesses dealing with the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of San Diego is now offering $3,000 grants to help build decks and platforms that comply with standards outlined in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

On Tuesday, the Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans will be available exclusively to businesses and nonprofits with 20 or fewer employees from Wednesday, Feb. 24, through Wednesday, March 10.
