SBA Announces Updated Guidance Regarding Applicant Deadlines for COVID Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program

WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced updated guidance for COVID Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program applicants to better serve small business owners in need, while funding remains available. Since its inception, the COVID EIDL program, a federal disaster relief loan designed to better serve and support our small business communities still reeling from the pandemic, especially hard-hit sectors such as restaurants, gyms, and hotels, has approved nearly $300 billion in relief aid. Deadline to Apply is Friday, Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. The City of San Diego in partnership with The San Diego Foundation are offering the Small Business & Nonprofit Relief Fund. Here are the facts:   Application deadline: Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. (PT) The grants are NOT first-come, first-served. Focus on accuracy over early. Must be located in the city of San Diego. Must have been in business prior to April 1, 2020. Self-employed workers, independent contractors, sole proprietors, and corporations with no more than 100 employees. The Ocean Beach MainStreet Association Friends of OB team cleaned up the Business District this morning in honor of #thinkblue day on Saturday, September 18th with Services Kings Home Services and Rest & Relax Real Estate. Lots of community members said "hello" and thanked them as they worked on the Main Street. Our next OBMA Cleanup is scheduled for October 30th form 8am-10am.
