Employee Retention Tax Credit Information & Update
"Are you aware of the recent tax law changes from The CARES Act? The CARES Act has once again been amended by Congress and now allows small businesses in San Diego (and nationwide) to now be able to qualify for not only the PPP and the EIDL, but also the ERC - Employee Retention Tax Credit. It means businesses here in San Diego (and nationwide) can qualify for up to $26,000 per eligible W2 employee through the ERC - Employee Retention Tax Credit, even if they received the PPP and/or the EIDL. It is a tax credit from the IRS, not a grant nor a loan. The ERC is pretty complicated, and the requirements have changed over time, so you may have heard different things that make you think small businesses can’t benefit from it. I know it can sound too good to be true!

You need only to be at least 50 years of age and be free to commit a minimum of three and a half days per month of your time. Following a 40-hour Police Academy, plus some on the job training, you will be ready to wear the SILVER BADGE OF THE RSVP. Short-term Vacation Rental Regulations Update

Proposed Sidewalk Vending Ordinance
The City Council meeting is TODAY, Tuesday, March 1, 2022. If you would like to speak at the City Council meeting about the proposed ordinance, we suggest that you make sure you have read the proposed ordinance and that you have read State Senate bill 946.
Scheduled Palm Pruning in Ocean Beach
PALM PRUNING ON NEWPORT AVENUE West Coast Arborists will be starting the palm pruning on Newport Ave and its surrounding streets in the downtown area of Ocean Beach on Monday, 2-28-22. They will be trimming the palms in this area for approximately 4 days.

OB Community Cleanup - Feb. 18th
Join Ocean Beach MainStreet Association and our sponsors Brown Marketing Strategies, Christie Romano Broker Rest & Relax Real Estate License #01479604 and Service Kings Home Services to cleanup the Ocean Beach Business Districts, which include Newport Avenue, Point Loma Avenue and Voltaire Street. Draft Sidewalk/Street Vendor Ordinance for Review – Please get involved
The City of San Diego is finally taking up the issue of sidewalk vendors and street vendors. This ordinance goes before the City’s ED&IR Committee for public comment on February 9 at 2pm.
