Traffic Safety Awareness Campaign Event at OBE

Traffic Safety Awareness Campaign

You’re invited to a

PEACEFUL GATHERING IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL ON SUNSET CLIFFS

to help our community become more aware of the dangers of not abiding by the traffic signals.

Friday November 3rd: 7:00 AM and 2:30 PM

Adults and Children are welcome to come dressed as their favorite super hero! Come help educate our local community of our desire to make the streets within our community safer! The theme message of the event is the following:

Is your Kryptonite being able to stop at a red light?
Be a Super Hero! Stop on Red!

Our children and parent’s lives are put at risk daily, due to the inability of some who choose not to abide by the traffic light signals on the intersections of Sunset Cliffs and Santa Monica Avenue and Sunset Cliffs and Newport Avenue. Currently, our existing parent volunteers who assist the school with manning the crosswalks outside the school are doing it without the proper signage and tools.  The purpose of this campaign is to encourage local community members to abide by the existing traffic safety laws and ask them to make donations to help support the efforts of the parent volunteers who risk their lives every day to ensure our children are safe while using the crosswalk.

We are looking to maximize the safety of our school children as they come to and from school. Please contact Mandy Havlik at [email protected] if you are interested in participating in this event or making a donation to the school.

This is a private event that is not being held by the school. Please note all children who participate will be required to change into their school clothes and be on time to class in the AM. Please plan accordingly.
