Students carrying laptops to Robb Field are taking courses over the summer and building credits toward their diplomas. Their future is online education.
“It’s not for everyone, but for some, it’s a necessity,” said Bryan Farmer, executive director of Community Collaborative Charter School. “We serve students in grades K-12 in homeschool programs or online blended learning educational programs.”
“We understand the importance of time flexibility in our student’s lives. Our students engage in online learning paths through unlimited access to web-based curriculum. For students involved in sports, dance, the arts, or other activities, online learning can provide the necessary flexibility and accessibility to learning.”
CCCS gives students the flexibility to learn from anywhere with an online curriculum that meets rigorous California state education standards.
The school at the entrance to Robb Field on West Point Loma Boulevard has begun the enrollment process for the next semester that begins September 3rd. Teachers are also working with students taking online courses over the summer to gain credits toward their diplomas.
Students and parents come in to discuss choices for prospective students.
“Our teachers are tutors, education coordinators, and mentors to assure students are moving toward their goals through counseling both socially and academically. Teachers can also modify the content based on student individual needs using prescriptive online learning paths that can remediate and accelerate learning.”
Farmer added, “We have students who are recovering credits and we have students that are on track to graduate but need the flexibility online learning provides to allow time in their schedules for activities or work.”
Education coordinators create an individualized plan for each student. This plan is revised constantly in order to meet the student’s learning style, ability levels and career goals.
CCCS is a free TK-12 public charter school with teachers that hold California teaching credentials and are experts in online education. CCCS teachers provide online learning pathways for students and students receive constant guidance, instruction, and feedback from their instructors.
CCCS will host a student/parent information night on August 19th from 5:30-7:00. Please feel learn more about CCCS Educational Programs and meet the team.
