This week, in addition to their regularly published issue, the Peninsula Beacon put together a 24 page commemorative issue celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the community of Ocean Beach. The issue was only possible due the large efforts of the Ocean Beach Historical Society, the Peninsula Beacon and the countless members of the community that shared many stories and photographs over the last several months. Also a big thanks to Patricia Walsh for all of her wiritng contributions, Bart Mendoza and Mike McCarthy, too. Many of the community's landmark events and buildings are highlighted through a timeline, and the issue is enhanced with stories of OB's many treasures, including a resident who lived in Ocean Beach for 100 years, Wonderland, and surfing legend Jim "Mouse" Robb.
Feel free to stop by the OBMA Offices (1868 Bacon St., SD 92107) for your own copy, and if you just can't get there to get your own copy, then you can CLICK HERE to read online.Have you picked up your copy yet?
