You are cordially invited to a Visioning Workshop for Newport Avenue
When: OB Town Council Meeting Wednesday, August 24th 7-9:00 pm
Where: OB Masonic Lodge: 7-9pm
On Thursday August 24th, at the monthly meeting of the OB Town Council, community leaders will facilitate a Visioning Workshop for Newport Avenue.
The Newport Avenue Visioning Workshop will be a 30-40 min workshop focused on examining the challenges and opportunities for Newport Avenue.
Following a brief analysis of the existing conditions, attendees will be able to submit suggestions for improvement involving infrastructure, circulation, land-use, environment, and community.
The suggestions will be collected and summarized, and the findings will be compiled into a report.
This report will be used to facilitate a follow-up discussion with local Architects, Engineers, and Planners at a community event in October in partnership with the AIA San Diego's Archtoberfest.
The goal of these workshops is to submit a document of the findings and recommendations to the City of San Diego identifying future Capital Improvement Projects on and around Newport Avenue that will make our community a more healthy, resilient, and sustainable neighborhood.
Volunteers are being gathered to help with the assessment process. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to me.
Otherwise, please pass this invitation to anyone interested in this event.
Thank you
John
