Street Fair

The Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off Festival offers attendees an eclectic mix of fun in the sun for all ages. Tens of thousands of visitors attended the OB Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off from 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2025, for a variety of tasty festival treats, art, beachfront entertainment, shopping, and more.

2025 Ocean Beach Chili Cook-Off Competition

The Hodad's Burger Eating Contest was held on the Sunset Stage from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025.  The reigning champion faced off against nine other contestants.

First place went to Justin with 6 burgers!  2^nd place was last year’s winner, Eddie, with five burgers.

People signed up for the Annual Street Fair's Dirty Birds Wing Eating contest, and the proceeds supported OBMA's Friends of OB Clean & Safe Program. The competition took place on the Sunset Stage on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Chili Cook-Off competition was held in the grassy area between Newport Avenue and the Pacific. Chili tasters put their tastebuds to the test and cast their votes alongside the judges! Chili tasting. Competitors showcased their chili cooking skills by competing for great prizes... not to mention the satisfaction of winning!

Chili judging will be based on ICS guidelines for:

• Consistency
• Taste – like chili
• Color – looks like chili
• Smell – good like chili
• Meat (if used) – tender
