I was in the Navy in 1971. My pregnant wife and I walked to the end of the pier when she started having labor pains. We were given a ride to our car in a good cart. Later that day, she delivered a healthy baby girl named Misty in the S.D. Naval hospital. I had carved our initials and date (JM+CM 1971) earlier in the day. Always wondered if anyone noticed them? Our daughter is now 54. We live in Palmyra, Ne.
