The Ocean Beach Community Development Corporation (OBCDC) welcomes the Ocean Beach community and all those who have served in the armed forces to the first Veterans Plaza fundraising event. OBCDC will be releasing 3-dimensional artwork of the final design for a new Veterans Plaza.
The event will take place this upcoming Veterans Day, November 11, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Veterans Plaza located at the corner of Newport Avenue and Abbott Street on Veterans Plaza lawn just south of the main lifeguard station.
The County Board of Supervisors and the Office of Ron Roberts awarded the Ocean Beach Community Development Corporation a grant to redesign and renovate the current Veterans Plaza memorial. The Veterans Plaza project is collaboration between OBCDC, Ocean Beach MainStreet Association, OB Planning Board, OB Historical Society, and the OB Community Foundation.
