Members of the Ocean Beach MainStreet Association and the OB community enjoyed the annual OBMA Awards Dinner at the PL Masonic Center this week.
Each year, OBMA committees nominate businesses for their exceptional efforts and accomplishments throughout the year. 2013 was no exception - in fact, it was even more of a celebration than normal because the association also celebrated its 35th anniversary. The room was filled with kazoos and whistles and the crowd was entertained with original music celebrating the community and performed by Billy Lee & The Swamp Critters.
Ryan and Sevy from Glasz Productions also kept things moving - they started by leading the group in the OB Pledge of Allegiance, added some raffle prizes for people with answers to OB trivia questions and kept the night going with great music and energy.
