2024 Ocean Beach Banner District Call for Art Submissions
Each year the Ocean Beach MainStreet Association selects a theme for the OB Banner District.
Our theme for 2024 is:
High Tides & Good Vibes
Please submit your artwork featuring 'High Tides & Good Vibes' in Ocean Beach.
No further submissions will be accepted after Oct.13th.
Submissions will be reviewed and considered for being included in this year's banners which are hung along the entrance to Ocean Beach and down Newport Avenue. We may pick up to 15 images.
The size of the banners is 30” wide and 96” tall - portrait/vertical format with a minimum live area for your artwork that is 25.5" wide by 40" tall. The OBMA may alter artwork to fit the full banner size.
Creative Direction: We are looking for bright, colorful artwork that is unique to Ocean Beach, easily identifiable landmarks, such as the pier, tide pools, cliffs, jetty, dog beach, palms, surfing, parks, the hill, and farmers market.
Style & Quality: We are open to a variety of artistic styles and mediums being submitted. However, we do prefer digital art that is high-resolution and of a quality that is suitable for the large printed area. If you wish to submit a photo of a painting or hand-drawn work, please ensure it is properly lit without glare or haze.
File requirements: Artwork must be provided as vector-based files (pdf, ai, eps, svg). Or, a high-resolution image file of your illustration (png, jpg, bmp, tif) at a minimum of 155ppi.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your artwork! The OBMA will contact you if your submission is selected to be featured with this year's banners.
All submissions will be posted within a Photo Album featured on the OBMA website.
The OBMA reserves the right to choose those designs that will work the best for the theme + continuity of the banner project.
