MISSION STATEMENT To find a unique balance of economic development within a neighborhood setting and, through special events, to contribute to the health, welfare, and pride of our coastal community! ORGANIZATIONAL HISTORY The Ocean Beach MainStreet Association (OBMA) is comprised of area merchants and professionals dedicated to building a thriving business district that fulfills the needs of the neighboring community and visitors alike. The OBMA is a 501(c)6 private nonprofit business organization operating with 14 elected Board Members, committed to preserving a healthy active atmosphere for those who work, live and visit Ocean Beach.
The Ocean Beach MainStreet Association has a small staff of three full time employees and one part time employee. The OBMA staff works with local businesses, organizations, government and agencies. They take calls from tourist and locals on a daily basis. Yearly and weekly events managed by the staff which also includes the organization of many volunteers and the facilitation of many committees.
All meetings are held at the OBMA office at 1868 Bacon Street except the Crime Prevention meeting, which is held at various locations around Ocean Beach (announced in our monthly newsletter). Explore our committees using the links below.
Become a Member of the OB MainStreet Association Board of Directors Forms are available if you would like to consider running for a board position with the OB MainStreet Association. The requirements necessary to run are: Must be a member in good standing. Served on one of OBMA's committees for at least one year Will have time to devote to monthly board meetings, committees and special events. Intent to Run forms are due in the OBMA office no later than June 12, 2014. Election ballots will go out before July 1, 2014 and will be returned to the office no later than 5pm on Wed., July 11, 2014.

When producing communications materials that carry the Ocean Beach MainStreet Association (OBMA) visual identity, please refer to these standards for usage. Using the OBMA brand and logo OBMA's marks include, but are not limited to, the association name, logo, social media skins and profile images, and any words, phrases, images, or other designation that identifies the source or origin with any of OBMA's creative work. If you are another association or organization, do not modify or alter the marks or use them in a confusing way, or in a way that confuses OBMA with another brand.
